Matt begins his seventh season in professional baseball, all with the Rays organization: 2003-04-Orlando(AA), 2001-02 Bakersfield (A), 2000 Charleston (A), 1999-Princeton (Rookie). He has a bachelor's degree in athletic training from New Mexico State University (1993) and worked as an athletic trainer in a physical therapy clinic post graduation from 1993-1999 in New Mexico. Matt enjoys playing golf, fishing, and spending time with his family during off days. Matt and his wife, Regina, have one daughter named Madison.
