2006: Selected by the Minnesota Twins in the Rule 5 Draft, but returned to Tampa Bay on March 29 after batting .250 for the Twins in spring training.
2004: Led the South Atlantic League with 103 runs scored ... Became the second player in Charleston (SC) baseball history to score 100+ runs in a season (Charleston Rainbows' Marvell Wynne scored 106 runs in 1980) ... Tied for 3rd in the league with 11 triples, 8th with 142 hits ... Belted four home runs in five games, July 16 - July 21 ... Rated the best defensive player in the system by Baseball America.
2003: Led the South Atlantic League with 10 triples and 530 at-bats; led the RiverDogs with 28 doubles.
2002: Finished in the top five in six offensive categories in the Appalacian League, leading all players with 105 hits (tying for the 2nd-most all-time with Kirby Puckett) ... Hit safely in 59 of the 67 games, including a 20-game streak from July 3 - July 24 ... Rated the best hitter and the best tools in the system by Baseball America. |
