Biscuits even series, 7-2
Rollins earns first AA win

MONTGOMERY - The Montgomery Biscuits (35-31; 69-67) struggling offense broke through Friday night against the Jacksonville Suns (32-35; 65-72) for 16 hits in a 7-2 victory at Riverwalk Stadium.

J.T. Hall led the way with three hits, two RBIs and two runs scored and was joined by five other Biscuits with multi-hit performances.

Most of the damage was done in a five run third inning, as Montgomery batted around against Danny Muegge, who entered the game to replace the recently activated Jesus Castillo (strained oblique).

Pat Cottrell capped off the frame with a bases clearing three-run double to make the score 6-1. Muegge had a night to forget, allowing six runs on eleven hits in four innings, after lasting just two frames in his previous outing against the Biscuits.

The Suns did not mount much offense against Biscuits starter Heath Rollins, but Andrew Lambo had no trouble posting an impressive performance at the plate for the second night in a row. After knocking in six in the previous game, Lambo proceeded to go 4-for-4 with a solo home run off of Biscuits closer Neal Frontz in tonight's ballgame.

The only other scoring for Jacksonville was an RBI double from Jamie Hoffman against Rollins in the third. Rollins picked up his first AA win with his third quality start in four attempts. He tossed six solid innings, giving up one unearned run on seven hits, while striking out five and walking one.

Top prospect Jeremy Hellickson takes the hill for the Biscuits on Saturday, looking for just Montgomery's second win at home against the Suns in 2008. Southpaw James Adkins is scheduled to oppose.
