Jukich, Lookouts blank Biscuits, 4-0
Chattanooga captures series, 3-2

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Montgomery Biscuits (26-29) lost their third straight game at AT&T Field Friday night, dropping the season series to the Chattanooga Lookouts (28-27) 6-4.  The Biscuits failed to score a run against Lookouts starter Ben Jukich and were not able to scratch a run across in the final 12 innings of the series.

Jukich was dominant, tossing 7 2/3 shutout innings, striking out six and walking just one.  The southpaw took a no hitter into the sixth inning, when Johnny Raburn stroked a triple down the right field line.  Raburn had two of the Biscuits' four hits.

On the bump for Montgomery was right hander Richard De Los Santos.  De Los Santos got off to a rocky start in the first inning, giving up four runs (three earned) on five hits.  The inning started with an error that allowed leadoff man Sean Cumberland to reach base and was followed up with five consecutive hits.

One of those hits came off the bat of Lookouts third baseman Eric Eyman.  Eyman was busy at the plate, going 2-4 with a run scored, but did even more work in the field.  On the final out of the game, Eyman retired Sergio Pedroza on a pop fly for his tenth put out of the game in 11 chances.  The 11 total chances in the field tied a Southern League record, set by the Lookouts' Donny Leon in 2002.

Carlos Fisher pitched a scoreless inning and a third, striking out two to pick up his first save on the year for Chattanooga.

The Biscuits head home for a five game set against the Carolina Mudcats.  This will be the Mudcats first and only trip to Riverwalk Stadium in 2008.  The series begins Saturday night, with Jimmy Buffett Beach Party night at the ballpark.  First pitch is set for 7:05 Central Time.
