Tony Barnette looked sharp on the mound for the BayBears throwing a five hitter over seven innings, striking out five and giving up just one run.
For the Biscuits it was right hander Wade Davis taking the loss, falling to 4-3 on the season. Davis got in trouble early, throwing 35 pitches in the first inning alone, giving up two runs in the frame before settling down. Davis pitched 5 1/3 innings giving up three earned runs on nine hits, while walking three and fanning four. The Biscuit bullpen was unable to stop the bleeding, giving up five more earned runs in 3 2/3 innings.
On the offensive side, Chris Nowak had the best night at the plate for the Biscuits, going 2-for-3 with a run scored. Johnny Raburn had the only RBI, on a fifth-inning sacrifice fly, for Mongomery in a 1 for 3 performance.
Despite leaving 12 men on base, Mobile plated eight runs on 15 hits. First baseman Bryan Byrne led the BayBears offensive attack, going 3-for-4 with three RBIs and a walk.
