Riverwalk the "Perfect Baseball Venue"
Park receives high praise from well-traveled Stadium Journey

MONTGOMERY, AL – StadiumJourney.com, a renowned ballpark critic website, recently visited Riverwalk Stadium and tabbed it the “perfect minor league baseball venue.”

Riverwalk, home of the Montgomery Biscuits, checked in with an overall rating of 4.6 on Stadium Journey’s 5.0 scale, receiving perfect scores in Food & Beverage, Atmosphere, Neighborhood, and Return on Investment.

“This was by far the best minor league baseball experience I have ever had,” said Franklin Critteden, who wrote the review for Stadium Journey. “It was impossible for me to find one thing to criticize or complain about.”

Stadium Journey was started in the summer of 2009, and is the process of developing a world-class community resource for fans by spotlighting every stadium used in the four major sports in North America. They’ve already visited and reviewed hundreds of stadiums across the country.

“The stadium was special, and so was the atmosphere. The whole set up made me want to be there, and I didn’t want to leave,” Crittenden continued. “I'll be honest, if I lived near Montgomery I would certainly buy season tickets or maybe even split one of those luxury suites with a balcony overlooking the Alabama River and the ballpark with my friends on a special occasion.”

Earlier this season, Riverwalk’s Chicken Biscuit with Alaga Syrup was named as one the best ballpark food’s in the country by the Travel Channel’s Man vs. Food. The park, which incorporates an historical train shed in its structure, has been featured by several other national media, including ESPN.com. It opened for the Biscuits’ inaugural season in 2004.
