Biscuits Job Fair Coming Saturday
Riverwalk hosting 8th annual job fair, filling positions for 2011 season
MONTGOMERY – The Montgomery Biscuits will hold their eighth annual Job Fair on Saturday, February 5th, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium.
The organization will hire in the areas of retail, food service, promotions, ticket operations, press box operations, wait staff and guest services in preparation for the upcoming season. Front office staff members will be on site to conduct interviews.
“We’re looking for individuals who would enjoy providing the positively outrageous customer service Riverwalk Stadium is known for,” said Biscuits Co-Owner Sherrie Myers. “If you want to feel a purpose and make a contribution that gets noticed both at your job and in this community, then we’d love to see you Saturday.”
Available positions may be viewed by clicking the "jobs" link at www.biscuitsbaseball.com. Employees will be asked to work the entirety of the 70-game home schedule. During the majority of the Biscuits' home games, close to 200 employees staff the stadium.
"It's the people of the River Region that have made Riverwalk Stadium the best atmosphere in the Southern League," said Biscuits General Manager Marla Terranova Vickers. "From the suites to the concession stands to the box office, we are proud to uphold a standard of excellence."
Over one-third of all Biscuits employees work in the area of food service, an area of pride for Biscuits management.
“There are numerous positions available, both seasonal full-time and hourly positions,” said Director of Food and Beverage Travis Johnson. “We are looking for hardworking, dedicated individuals that would be proud to become part of the Biscuit Family.”
Applicants must be at least 16 years old to apply. Employees are paid hourly or by the game, depending on the position. Montgomery Biscuits are an EOE.
