Biscuits Unveil Food Stimulus Plan

MONTGOMERY, AL – With tough economic times lingering as the 2009 season draws near, the Montgomery Biscuits are pleased to unveil the Biscuits Food Stimulus Plan at Riverwalk Stadium.

The Biscuits Food Stimulus Plan is comprised of new Kids Eat Free Sundays, new Riverwalk Stadium Value Meals and the return of the Biscuits wildly popular Thirsty Thursday nights at the ballpark.

“Our mission has always been to provide the most enjoyable and affordable family entertainment in the region,” said Biscuits’ President & General Manager Greg Rauch. “We certainly recognize the tough economic climate, and now more than ever are striving to give our fans great memories at an affordable cost.”

Kids Eat Free Sundays will run in conjunction with Sunday Kids Days at Riverwalk Stadium. While continuing to enjoy live entertainment, kids crafts and Coca-Cola Kids Run the Bases, all kids 12 and under will receive a coupon for a free hot dog and 12 oz. Coca-Cola product as they enter the ballpark on Sundays.

In addition, the Biscuits are introducing special Riverwalk Stadium Value Meals to the already wide-array of dining options at the ballpark. A kids hot dog, 16 oz. Coca-Cola product and bag of potato chips, normally a $6.75 purchase, will cost just $4.75. For fans of all ages, the Biscuits will offer a variety of eight different Value Meals, featuring an entrée, 16 oz. Coca-Cola product and bag of potato chips. Each individual Value Meal offers fans a savings of $2.00.

“The Biscuits Food Stimulus Plan is part of our on-going effort to provide a totally family-friendly and affordable experience at our games,” added Rauch. “Whether it be tickets, merchandise or in this instance food, we want our fans to get the most bang for their buck and this plan helps accomplish that.”

Fans will continue to be able to enjoy Thirsty Thursdays at Riverwalk Stadium featuring $2.00 grilled pretzels and $2.00 drink specials to wash them down with.

Kids can take advantage of the new Kids Eat Free program on one of 10 Sunday Kids Days at Riverwalk Stadium during the 2009 season. The Biscuits will host nine Thirsty Thursday nights throughout the season, and the new Biscuits Value Meals will be available at every Biscuits’ home game.

A variety of season ticket packages and group opportunities are currently available for the 2009 season. Single-game tickets will go on sale on Saturday, March 28th.
