The annual Biscuits job fair will be held in February, during which we will hire the majority of our gameday staff. Please check back on our website as we will be posting more information and job fair details soon!
We do have one position for which we are accepting applications before the job fair. Here are the details:
Emcee
Job Description:
Love crowds? Love entertaining? This is the job for you! The on-field Emcee is responsible for executing all in-game promotions during each inning break. The Emcee must be energetic, outgoing and enthusiastic, possess a great speaking voice, love performing in front of large crowds and be comfortable interacting with fans of all ages. In addition, the Emcee is responsible for memorizing scripts with the capacity to improvise on a nightly basis. Most importantly, the Emcee must love to have fun and be able to excite thousands of fans.
Previous live audience experience is desired but not necessary.
Hours:
The Emcee is a seasonal position that requires working the majority of the Biscuits 70 home games; including weekends and holidays, from April to September.
There will be a mandatory staff orientation and extensive training for all members of the Promotional Staff in March of 2012.
Pay:
The Emcee is paid a flat rate of $45.00 per game.
Uniform:
The Emcee will be provided with a Biscuits jersey and various costumes for appropriate theme nights, but is expected to provide his/her own khaki shorts and clean white tennis shoes.
Each employee will have a $15.00 uniform deposit taken out of his/her first check with the $15.00 being returned at the end of the season to employees in good standing.
